Pumps

Submersible

Submersible pumpSubmersible pumps are most often used in artesian wells. When installed properly, they can also be used in reservoirs, lakes, rivers and ponds. Since they are installed in the water and do not require priming or suction, they are able to deliver a high volume of water at the ideal operating pressure required for sprinkler systems.

They can be installed with filtration and automated safety systems to ensure they are not damaged. They can be controlled by the sprinkler systems computer or operate based on system pressure and demand. However, when installed exclusively for use on a sprinkler system, the design of the sprinkler system must match the output of the pump or premature wear and failure of the pump will occur.

You can rest assured that our technicians and engineers are able to design, install, service or repair your pump so that it operates properly and reliably.

Jet and Centrifugal

Jet and centrifugal pumpJet and centrifugal pumps are used to either supply water or boost the pressure of an existing water source. These pumps are not installed in the water so attention to its placement is critical to limit the height it has to lift the water.

Generally, jet and centrifugal pumps are less expensive than submersible pumps. The advantages of one over the other can be explained during a visit to the site.

Booster

Booster pumpBooster pumps are used to boost water pressure. They can be installed to overcome pressure losses due to elevation, friction, and can sometimes be used to make a poorly designed irrigation system operational.

Pump Stations

Generally all our pump station installations use a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) so that we are able to reduce energy costs, system wear and noise levels. Each system is custom ordered to the site requirements. Grundfos CR vertical, multi-stage, centrifugal pumps maximize performance, economy and reliability by giving you:

  • Pump stationPump efficiencies greater than 80%
  • High pressure and flow ranges
  • Low NPSH - excellent suction characteristics
  • Easy start up
  • Easy servicing minimizes downtime for maintenance and repair
  • Fast, on-site repairs with pre-assembled, ready-to-install rebuild kits including pump shaft, impellers, chambers, and all associated hardware
  • Add a seal kit and you have a "new" pump
  • High efficiency designs reduce pump operating costs
  • Space saving, vertical in-line design
  • Corrosion resistant stainless steel construction
  • Suitable for handling water carrying moderate amounts of sand or other particles.
